Chakra yoga can be a powerful tool in your healing journey, facilitating the movement of energy through your energy centers it can also assist you in the release energy blockages that may be related to illness or disease.
Go slowly, keep breathing and only go to the point of pleasant discomfort. This means you are challenging but not causing injury. Yoga will gently influence your body into it's optimal state.
Start at the root chakra, these poses will strengthen your body's connection to the earth. You can begin and end your yoga session with the pose Shavasana, laying flat on your back (use a bolster or pillow under your legs if your lower back is not happy) arms slightly out and palms up.
Doing Shavasana before your yoga session helps you slow down and connect with your breathing while setting your intention for your practice.
After yoga this pose lets your body integrate from stretches you've done and reset the spine with this new information.

Always listen to your body and be gentle with yourself. You can always do modified versions of poses until you gain strength and flexibility. Trust yourself goddess. There's a reason it's an ancient practice ;) |

Need to speak about something sensitive with someone? Open your heart first. Communication from the heart is always more sincere and will keep you from residing in ego. Try one of the heart poses to get your chest muscles open.

Any troubles with your throat or neck are an indication that your 5th energy center is needing attention. Are you speaking your truth? Help get it into balance using the 5th chakra poses above. Singing will also restore this chakra into balance.
